     We have been researching the mechanism of scaling and corrosion in various water, especially geothermal and underground water. 

Material Science
     We have beeen researching fatigue and stress corrossion cracking of Metal.

2021/10/2 Scale induced by iron corrosion products. We proved it experimentally.
 It has been known that scale easily adheres to iron corrosion products, but this has not been experimentally proven. The paper that proved this experimentally was published in Testu-to-Hagane in Japanese. We will be published in English. 

2021/7/13 A paper on a method to simulate a field scale in a laboratory environment has been accepted in Geothermic.
 We have developed a method to simulate the same structure in laboratory as the scale in the field. It is expected to be useful for early development of scale inhibitors in the future.

2021/6/15 A presentation was made at the World Geothermal Congress 2020, which was scheduled to be held last year.
 Morita made a presentation at the World Geothermal Congress 2020+1, and the proceedings will be published as an open journal later. The proceedings will be published as an open journal at a later date, and an on-site presentation will be held in October 2021.

2021/3/17~19 I presented my paper at the conference of The Iron and Steel Institute of Japan.

 A paper on non-destructive sensing of pipe inner wall adhesion thickness in the field of Oil&Gas was submitted to ACS Omega.

2020/12/09 Installation of supercritical water generator
 Supercritical water generator was installed in our laboratory by the kind permission of Prof. Toshiaki Masuda, Shizuoka University.

 A co-authored paper on fatigue fracture of galvanized steel, written by Ms. Kayo Hasegawa, has been published in ISIJ International.

2020/08/07 A paper on photocatalytic electrodes was published in Eng.
 A joint paper on photocatalytic electrodes written by Mr. Htoo Nay Wunn, supervised by Prof. Motoda, has been published in Engineering Journal.

2020/06/26 Selected for NEDO Geothermal Power Generation Technology Research and Development Project
 Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, Xenesys Corporation, and National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (PL: Morita) have been selected for the "Feasibility Study on Heat Exchange System with Corrosion Resistance and Reduced Scale Growth".

2020/06/26 A paper on Ti-O alloys was published in Mater.
 A paper on the deformation mechanism of high oxygen solid solution titanium alloy (Ti-O alloy) with controlled aggregate structure was published in Material Science and Engineering A.
