Life cycle of benthic marine inbertebrates
Most benthic marine invertebrates hatch as a free-living larva, grow and metamorphose into a juvenile, and then are recruited to a benthic population. We examine the morphologies, chronological development, and swimming and feeding behaviors of the embryos and larvae of benthic marine invertebrates to understand their life cycle.
