山崎 秀勝(やまざき ひでかつ)

研究の目標:

プランクトンを取り巻く物理過程を知る事により、初期の生命体が経験した物理環境を解き明かすことを目指しています。

研究の対象:

主に植物プランクトン及び動物プランクトンが生息する物理環境を二つの視点にたって研究しています。 ひとつは、プランクトン個体レベルの物理環境(乱流・拡散等)がプランクトンの生態及びその分布に及ぼす影響についてです。ふたつ目として、乱流と諸現象(内部波や海流等)との関係について研究しています。さらに、魚類などの大型の生物の分布状態と物理環境との関係についても調べています。
