Policy for accepting students to our lab.
@We hope to see active students who can manage what he/she need to do to proceed their scope and project. You will see the projectfs goal is placed on the top of high mountain. You may go over deep valley without any bridges. Deep forest may shade the sun light to see your map. You may find your position is just a small peak after long distant walk. Is it Challenge or Difficulty? It depends on your perspective. We have lots of opportunities worth paying effort.
Once you set the goal, your supervisor and friends will support you if you keep the enthusiasm to overcome issue. One thing you should know is that nobody knows the right answer to the issue you have on the project, even your supervisor in some case. All students belonging to our lab are supposed to have responsibility to proceed their scope. Nobody has same scope because all members work on different project/scope. Even your friend next to your desk may not understand what you concern. You have to explain your situation and issue simply but deeply to get their support and new perspective. This communication let you see the issue from other angle and identify the root cause of problems. That gives you new path on your map.

candidate, and Ph.D course candidate. Of course, we welcome talented people,
but our capacity is quite limited unfortunately. See the following document
to know how to get involve. Now we do not accept any research students
temporarily due to the capacity in our lab.

The research activity is exciting and precious experience for not only
developing your skill and knowledge in specific engineering field but also
growing your framework to grasp the world. We have seen many samples that
our students grew by overcoming tons of difficulty and challenges to achieve
the goal. Thatfs why we believe that our students can do what they need
to do. We look after our students carefully, but not force them to do their
tasks.
If you want to be gTrue Engineerh, it is necessary to have some experiences
to find the way for solving problems by yourself. Learn what you need if
you feel lack of knowledge or skill. We will direct, support, help, and
guide you.
Message from Komeda
My name is Shohei KOMEDA (Ph.D.). I have graduate from department of electrical
engineering. My research interests include power electronics, which is
technology to control the electric power realizing the energy saving for
various electrical equipment. Nowadays, the power electronics technology
represented by inverters (DC-AC converter) has been applied for home appliances,
industrial motor drives, and so on. Ifm looking forward to study technology
of power electronics with you who are the candidates of our laboratory.
